Advanced Performance Academy Auditions

Auditions for CCT’s Advanced Performance Academy will be held on July 15, 2019, from 4:30pm-6pm. Please prepare a one minute song cut and a short (30 sec to 1 min) monologue. Auditions are open to all students entering grades 6-12.

Accepted students will have two BalletMet dance classes per week from 4:30-6pm and two acting classes from 4:30-6pm. Classes are M-Th. From September 9, 2019, to December 19 with a week off at Thanksgiving.

Students in our APA program will be cast as roles in CCT’s Frozen JR and will have priority auditions for all season shows featuring student actors. Rehearsals for Frozen JR will begin on or about September 22, 2019, and will open on November 8, 2019.

(You must be in APA to be cast as a role in Frozen JR, but you do not have to accept a role in Frozen JR if you are in APA).

Q: What is the time commitment?

A: Each week, students are required to attend two 90-minute dance classes and two 90-minute acting classes. These classes will begin no earlier than 4:30 and end no later than 8pm. Our schedule is not yet set, but this year classes began at 4:30pm and ended at 6pm. The session will be 14 weeks and run from approx. September 9, 2019 to December 20, 2019 with a week off for Thanksgiving.

Q: Are there any additional time commitments?

A: This year, our FALL APA students will be guaranteed to be cast in FROZEN JR. The rehearsals for this show will run on a typical CCT rehearsal schedule, Sundays from 1pm-8pm and M-TH 6:30-9:30pm. Students who are in FALL APA can choose not to audition for FROZEN JR.

Q: What is the cost of FALL APA?

A: Tuition for 14 weeks of instruction will be $1600 payable up front or in installments. Scholarships are available.

Q: Who is eligible for FALL APA?

A: Any student entering 6th-12th grade during the 2019-2020 school year may audition for the program.

Q: Where are the classes held?

A: All classes will be held in a CCT building for the 2019-2020 school year. (either at 177 East Naghten St. or 512 Park Street).
